VINTAGE ALESSI SUGAR BOWL
AND FOR THE AVID COLLECTOR OF ALESSI, THIS TREASUE COMES YOUR WAY IN ITS ORIGINAL BOX
The clever bowl was inspired by a prototype by Christopher Dresser (therefore the name "Christy"), who was considered the first industrial designer who produced work-for-hire designs in collaboration with various manufacturers. The Dresser's unsettlingly biomorphic footed design, originally made in silver plate, was then mass-produced in brilliantly colored thermoplastic resin by ALESSI in the early 1990s. The updated design is both a reverent homage and completely original.
