BERRY BOWL

CIRCA late 90s or very early 2000s

HANDMADE IN PA. BY STUDENT POTTER, PRATT

I thought of it as colander but officially these are generally referred to as berry bowls. They are perfect for fruit and vegetables, especially things such as blue berries, strawberries, and grapes.  This one handmade by a student at HACC.  Many years ago IDEAS AND OBJECTS headed to the Memorial Day ARTFEST in Harrisburg and purchased from the Harrisburg community college students of the arts in support of their journey.  This one did come home with me and had a place on my kitchen counter for several  years. Used as a colander for berries and more and as a “fruit bowl”.   When Jason Silverman was somewhat convinced to add berry bowls to his line, this on was retired.
